What a time to buy a new boat! The peak of COVID may have seemed like a risky time to order our Catalina 445 new from the factory, but we put our faith in Specialty Yachts and forged ahead anyway. Lawrence and his team adeptly managed the construction, delivery, and commissioning as if it was their own boat, despite unexpected delays arising from COVID-related supply chain issues. Throughout the commissioning, Lawrence kept us well informed of the progress and of the options available. He clearly enjoyed making suggestions about equipment choices that we were glad we took, and we benefited from his wide connections in industry. Throughout the process Lawrence worked tirelessly on our behalf to get us on the water as quickly as possible.
We have been pleased with the after-sales support provided by Lawrence and his team. As one expects with a new boat, there have been a few warranty issues, and once again Lawrence and his team have stepped in to ensure that these have been dealt with to our satisfaction, including advocating on our behalf to Catalina. The Specialty Yacht support team Gabriel and Amy have consistently been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. When it comes time to buy or sell again, we’ll definitely be working with Specialty once more.
